1. Cats are curious animals
Ever seen a cat who can resists a cardboard box? Nope, neither have I. Cats are extremely curious by nature. The minute anything new is brought into the house they will cautiously scout out the object, investigate thoroughly and then immediately see if they can climb, play or sleep on it.
2. Their agility is second to none
I once had a cats that ran so fast around the house that is could literally defy gravity. It once traversed came screaming over the sofa and ran sideways across the wall like a marvel super hero. Watching a cat spring from floor to shelf, fridge to cupboard is like watching America Ninja in fast forward.
3. Cats have mastered hypnosis on humans
Ever been laying on the sofa watching television and out of nowhere your beloved feline pounces on your lap, intensely purring and starring into eyes….. thats usually all it takes before you fall under their trance. Little known fact is the frequency and vibrations of their purr has been proven to have many health benefits.
4. Ever wondered where the saying it’s raining cats and dogs came from?
In Tudor time most people were poor and the only place to keep animals were in house. As sharing this space with people the animals were often placed up in the rafter. Roofs were made from thatch and when soaked from rain would give way hence the pets would then come down to ground, hence the saying.
5. Cats occasionally have smokers cough
Cats groom themselves by using their raspy tongue, this ensure that coats and paws are kept clean and in good condition. As you could imagine, cats will consume some hair each time they clean and this over time builds up and causes the cats to cough. Eventually the cat will drop a hairball and then rinse and repeat the process. This is very infrequent and not troublesome at all for the owner.
